Chelsea star almost unlikely to continue at Italy beyond this season

One Chelsea star who is currently on loan away at Italy is unlikely to continue there beyond this season. The Blues will need to welcome him back at summer before deciding wheter to keep or sell him.

The star in question here is Joao Felix who Chelsea signed in summer 2024. They paid £43 million to secure his services but the deal didn’t went as per plans. The Portugese was unable to establish himself as key player for the West London club.

Enzo Maresca preferred other players over Felix which resulted in him spending most of the time on bench. He did play 20 games for Chelsea but started in only some of them. Hence, it forced him to move away from West London.

AC Milan opted to sign Joao Felix on loan. Zlatan Ibrahimovich said that they operated very fast in market and signed Felix. There were reports stating that Milan are happy with the Portugese and the club will sign him permanently in summer.

Milan don’t have an option to buy and hence they will need to negotiate with Chelsea once again. The Blues can be ready to part ways as Felix is not in Maresca’s plans. In addition, they are keen to bring new players. But, now the Felix situation is completely overturned.

Joao Felix to return to Chelsea in summer

Fabrizio Romano has told on his youtube channel that Milan will undergo many changes in summer. Hence, it will be very complicated for them to continue with Joao Felix. He added that it is not related to financial reasons but the first 40 days have been complicated for both Felix and other players in Milan.

Hence, the Blues will now have to welcome back Joao Felix. They will then have to make a decision of keeping or selling the player. They are set to part ways with Nkunku which may give more minutes to Felix but as of now nothing is certain.
