The star in question here is Christopher Nkunku. The 27 year old attacker joined the Blues in summer 2023 from Leipzig. His first season was injury prone due to which he only played 14 games. The Frenchman then marked a good recovery and returned to the side this season.
However, Nkunku has not been able to establish himself as a regular starter for Enzo Maresca. The Italian uses other options due to which Nkunku has suffered with less game time. In addition, the 27 year old has to play in unnatural positions to get some action on the pitch.
Nkunku is not at all impressed with his role at West London. In addition, he will again struggle to play in his preferred position as Cole Palmer has made the position his very own. As a result, the Frenchman is keen to move away from Stamford Bridge as soon as possible.

Nkunku wanted to leave Chelsea in the January window itself. He was looked upon by Arsenal and Bayern Munich at that time. But, the Blues opted to keep him as their asking price was not met by any of the interested clubs. The West London club wanted around €70 million for the French attacker.
According to Fabrice Hawkins, Nkunku is still keen to leave Chelsea this summer. The club are now ready to let him move away as they are likely to sign some new players. The report also suggests that both Arsenal and Bayern Munich can try again to sign the 27 year old this summer.
