Chelsea star desperate to switch sides mid-season

One Chelsea star is desperate to switch sides in the middle of the season. He wants to join Man United despite the Blues wanting to keep him until the end of the season.

The star in question here is Christopher Nkunku who joined the Blues in 2023. His first season at West London was filled with injuries due to which he played very rarely. He has been fully fit so far this season, but is way behind in pecking order.

Enzo Maresca prefers other players over Nkunku and the 27 year old is not happy with this. In addition, the player has to play as striker in order to get some minutes which is not his preferred position. This has forced Nkunku to demand an exit in the middle of the season.

Bayern Munich finding it extremely hard to strike deal with Chelsea

Nkunku has agreed personal terms with Bayern Munich who are keen to sign him. But as per CaughtOffside, the deal is hard to get completed as the Blues are demanding €70 million for the 27 year old.

The Blues wanted Mathys Tel from Bayern to replace Nkunku. But, the 19 year old is not interested to move to West Londo. He has not played any minutes in last 3 games but that has not forced him to change his mind.

Nkunku wants to join Man United

Earlier, Man United were also linked with Nkunku and at that time were said to be frontrunners in the race. They are still showing interest in the 27 year old in order to improve their attack. Nkunku is also open to join them as he is desperate to move away from Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea will surely want to replace Nkunku quickly if he move away. They will step up their interest in Mathys Tel but also have United star on their radar. It is Alejandro Garnacho who is linked with exit and being looked upon by Chelsea. We may also see a direct swap deal between Chelsea and United in which Nkunku and Garnacho switch sides in the middle of the season.
