The star in question here is Joao Felix who joined the Blues last summer. The West London club paid £42 million to Atletico to secure his signature. But, the deal did not went as per the plans for both the player and the club.
Felix played 20 games in the first half of this season. He was able to score 7 goals and pick 2 assists. But, the Portugese was not starting regularly and instead was being used as substitute. He found himself behind other stars in pecking order.
Felix demanded more game time in the January transfer window. Chelsea were unable to guarantee him that which made him depart on loan. He joined AC Milan where had a good start. But, the Portugese was unable to keep up his good form.
Felix will be sent back to Chelsea at the end of the season. The Blues have no intention to keep him beyond this season. Hence, they will make him available in market and part ways with him after only one year.

Felix will need to focus on his career as soon as possible. He was once looked upon as best talents in football. However, he has failed to leave his mark in the recent seasons. The Portugese may go back to Benfica where he started his career. But, Benfica are keen to sign him on loan and hence the final decision will depend on what Chelsea think.
