Chelsea star eyeing up loan move in last stage of window

One Chelsea star is eyeing up a loan move away from Stanford Bridge in the last stage of window. The Blues are desperate to part ways with him and 2 Premier League clubs are showing interest.

The star in question here is full-back Ben Chilwell. The 27 year old joined the Blues in 2020 and had a superb first season. He helped the West London club to win the Champions League. But, the situation has not being same since the following season.

Chilwell has missed most of the games since his second season at Chelsea. The Blues are desperate to part ways with him. They tried to sell him in summer itself but were unable to do so due to his injury. Now, the 27 year old is once again linked with an exit.

Can Chelsea finally part ways with Ben Chilwell?

Earlier, it was reported that Chilwell is rejecting to lower his wages. This caused other clubs to not make a move for him. But, Daily Mail have now reported that the 27 year old is open to move away from Stamford Bridge on loan.

As per the reports, two English clubs – Man United and Crystal Palace are showing interest in Chilwell. However, United very likely view the defender as a backup. They are keen to sign Patrick Dorgu and are working very hard on it.

Chilwell can be a very good addition to Crystal Palace. The move will also be very good for the player himself. Chilwell can play regularly at Palace which can help him to get his career back on track.

Chelsea will want to sell Chilwell permanently but it seems they have to send him on loan for now. They can include an obligation to buy or can wait until summer to get the deal done.
