Chelsea star has growing interest from Newcastle United

One Chelsea star has growing interest from Newcastle United. The Magpies can make a move for him this summer if one of their current star opts to leave.

The star in question here is Nicolas Jackson who joined the Blues in 2023. He has produced mixed results for the West London club so far. As of now, he has 26 goals and 11 assists in 68 games for Chelsea.

Superdeporte have reported that Newcastle United are showing interest in Nicolas Jackson. The Magpies can make a move for him this summer if Alexander Isak opts to leave them. Isak is being looked upon by multiple clubs despite Newcastle willing to keep him.

It is said that Isak wants to play in Champions League regularly. As a result, the Magpies will allow him to leave if they fail to qualify for UCL. Newcastle will earn a hefty profit from this deal but his sale will still come as a massive blow for them.

Isak is one of the best strikers in the world right now. It will be very hard to replace him but Newcastle will have to try their best to do so. Nicolas Jackson is not as effective as Isak but he is 2 years younger than the Sweden international.

Will Chelsea sanction Jackson’s sale?

As of now, it does not seem like the Blues having any interest to sell Jackson. The 23 year old is main striker right now and is rated highly by the club. Eariler, he signed new contract extending his stay until 2033 at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea will be willing to keep Jackson in their squad. They are keen to add another striker as his backup. However, anything can happen as it is still very early and hence nothing can be ruled out. It will he interesting to see if there are any twists in Jackson’s transfer saga.
