Chelsea star in talks over a summer move to Portugal
The star in question here is Joao Felix who joined the Blues last summer. Chelsea paid around €50 million for him to Atletico. Felix played 20 games in the first half of this season. But, most of his appearances came from the bench.
Despite scoring 7 goals and picking 2 assists, Felix was unable to establish himself as a regular starter. As a result, he asked for a move away from Stamford Bridge this January. The Blues sent him on loan to AC Milan after just 6 months of signing him.
Felix had a good start at Milan. There were talks that the Italian club may sign him permanently this summer. But, the 25 year old failed to impress at Milan. As a result, he will be sent back to West London at the end of the season.
Chelsea have no intention to keep Felix beyond this season. They are keen to sell him in the region of €35 million to €40 million. Felix is wanted by his former club Benfica. According to Caught Offside, the 25 year old is also willing to return to his former club and is already in talks with them over a summer move.
Felix is also wanted by Saudi clubs. He was once viewed as one of the best talents in the world. He costed €127 million to Atletico when they signed him from Benfica. But, the 25 year old has failed to impress at the highest level.
