One Chelsea star is linked with quick exit from the West London club. Premier League club Brighton & Hove Albion are showing interest to sign him this month.
The star in question in centre-back Tosin Adarabioyo. The 27 year old joined the Blues in the summer on a free transfer from Fulham. He has been decent so far and helped Enzo Maresca in times of injury crises.
Adarabioyo is not the first choice defender but has stepped up whenever required. He has so far played 18 games in all competitions and has netted 3 goals too. However, after just half season at West London he is linked with exit.
Tosin Adarabioyo to leave Chelsea this month?
According to Mike Keegan, Brighton are showing interest to sign Adarabioyo this month. The Blues have not made any decision as of yet but the player’s sale will generate much needed profit. It can be registered as a smart piece of business from the West London side.
Chelsea have recalled Trevoh Chalobah from his loan spell at Crystal Palace. They are facing injury crises due to Fofana and Badiashile getting sidelined. In addition, Axel Disasi has been linked with exit and hence Maresca may prefer to keep Adarabioyo until the end of the season.
However, the Blues may part ways with Adarabioyo in the summer as they are keen to sign a world class defender. This will allow them to generate finance, open up space as well as comply with PSR. Chalobah is also going to get sold permanently as he is being called up just for a short duration of time.
Who is the top target of the Blues?
As of now, Marc Guehi still remains the top target of Chelsea. Liverpool were also linked with Englishman in the past but are now focused to extend the contract of club captain Virgil van Dijk. This gives the Blues lead to land their former superstar. Besides Guehi, Benfica defender Tomas Araujo is also on the radar but his release clause may complicate the deal.
