One Bundesliga club has joined the race to sign Chelsea star who is already been looked upon by 2 Serie A giants. However, it will not be easy to sign him as the Blues are keen to keep him at the club.
The star in question is Renato Veiga who joined the Blues in summer. He was signed for £14 million from FC Basel. Only after 6 months, there have been reports about the player’s exit from the West London.
Chelsea are firm about Veiga’s future
Fortunately, Chelsea consider Veiga as a key star. The player is still only 21 and can in numerous positions. The Portugese is capable of playing as left back, right back, centre back, holding midfielder and even as central midfielder.
Enzo Maresca currently used Veiga is left back. He even prefers him over Ben Chilwell. The Englishman is close to exit which will make Veiga the only backup for Marc Cucurella. Hence, Chelsea are unwilling to part ways with Veiga.
However, this is not stopping the other clubs to look into the matter of Veiga. 2 Italian giants – Juventus and Napoli are showing interest to sign the 21 year old on loan this month. In addition, they player is also said to be ready to move away in search of regular game time.
Bundesliga outfit joins the race for Veiga
Now, Ryan Taylor has reported that German club Stuttgart have joined the race to sign Veiga. This suggests that the Blues may find it very hard to keep hold of Veiga due to the growing interest from all around the Europe.
Veiga has played 17 games so far this season but is a part of Chelsea’s B team that plays in Domestic Cups and Conference League games. He has played only 7 Premier League games. In addition, he has started in only 1 of those and has played just 177 minutes in league so far.
