Wiley is American player who came through MLS side Atlanta United. The 19 year old joined the Blues this summer for £8.8 million. Quickly, he was sent on loan to Strasbourg.
Wiley has played 6 games for the French side’s first team so far. He has been able to record 1 assist in those games. Wiley had a knee injury which limited his game time this season.
The 19 year old made a comeback from injury and was looking very good recently. But, he has again being hit by injury and this time it is more serious one.
Caleb Wiley to return at Chelsea soon
As per London World, Wiley will need to return to his parent club Chelsea for the recovery procedure. The report adds that he is verg likely to miss the rest of the season due to seriousness of injury.
Wiley has faced a shoulder injury which is not a great sight for the Blues. They have signed him on a 6 year deal this summer. The club will plan to develop him into a world-class player before replacing Marc Cucurella.
How good is Chelsea’s project?
Chelsea’s project of hiring young talents is showing great results this season. Nicolas Jackson, Moises Caicedo and Cole Palmer are already the best Premier League players in the league.
