One Chelsea star is wanted by 2 Premier League clubs ahead of summer window. The Blues can consider selling him as they want to raise funds for new signings along with maintaining PSR.
The star in question here is Noni Madueke. According to talkSPORT, the 23 year old finds himself on the radar of Aston Villa and Newcastle United. Both of these clubs are likely to enter the market in hope of improving their final third and compete for UCL spot regularly.
Aston Villa are doing really well with the loan players. Unai Emery has the backing from the board and some of these players can join Villa permanently. This will then result in them dropping interest in Noni Madueke.
Newcastle have good options in the final third. They are currently focused on keeping hold of their current players. But, players like Isak are heavily linked with away moves which will then need an urgent replacement.
Chelsea to sell Madueke this summer?
Madueke joined the Blues from PSV in January 2023 for £28.5 million. He has so far been inconsistent for the West London club. This season he had an amazing start under Enzo Maresca but then again, failed to capitalize on the form.
Madueke has also had some troubles outside the pitch. He has so far being dropped two times by Maresca due to his off-pitch behavior. The Blues are set to welcome some new wingers very soon and hence may consider selling Madueke.
Madueke will help the club to raise funds for new striker or winger. In addition, his sale will also help the club to balance the finance sheet and avoid breaching PSR. The away move can also turn beneficial for Madueke. The 23 year old can join a club where he will be viewed as regular starter which will then help in his improvement.
