One Chelsea star is wanted by European giants this summer. The player is also open to move away and hence the deal can very likely end in success.
The star in question here is Joao Felix who joined the Blues in summer 2024. The West London club paid £43 million to land him but the deal seems to have not worked out. Felix has played really well and has scored 7 goals and picked 2 assists in 20 games. However, he was still not the first choice player.
Felix was not starting games on the top level for the Blues. In addition, he often had to play in unnatural positions. As a result, he demanded to move away in January window. Chelsea sanctioned his loan move and the Portugese joined AC Milan.
Felix is having a good time at AC Milan right now. It was revealed that the Italian club only needed 6 minutes to secure him from Chelsea. Felix said that he opted to join Milan due to Sergio Conceicao giving him chance to play in his natural position.
Later, Felix said that he wants to stay at Milan beyond this season. But, the Italian side does not have an option to buy after the expiry of loan. Hence, it is still early to talk about the player’s future but now one important update has been released.
Chelsea to sell Joao Felix permanently in summer?
According to Gazzetta Dello Sport, AC Milan are also keen to keep Felix beyond his loan. The report adds that they will open talks with Chelsea this summer. Lastly, it is said that it will be another loan deal running for a year with an option to buy at around €40 million in 2026.
It will be interesting to see what Chelsea think of the situation. They will not hold the player against his wills and hence may sanction his sale. But, there were be more talks about the transfer fee as the West London club has tied Felix for longer duration of time.
