Two Chelsea targets are being looked upon by Manchester City. City are in a bad phase right now and are keen to improve their squad in January. It seems like this will be a very busy window for them.
City are currently on 7th position in Premier League and are on the verge of losing Champions League football. They have only 1 win in their last 13 games across all competitions. Pep Guardiola is very likely to make some key signings in winter.
Man City keen to sign 2 strikers targetted by Chelsea
Chelsea want to add another striker to their squad despite top form from Nicolas Jackson. Christopher Nkunku is very likely to leave the club which may open up space. The Blues have many names linked with the club.
Two of the players linked with move to Stamford Bridge are Liam Delap and Jonathan David. Now, TBR Football have reported that City are also keen to sign these two strikers and are monitoring the situation.
Both Delap and David are key players for their respective clubs. Hence, a january move is very unlikely at the moment. But, David will be out of contract at the end of the season and he is very likely to leave for free. This may force Lille to agree a January deal in order to bag some profit.
Delap has came through City academy and has good connection with the club. He can be a very good backup for Erling Haaland who is having a rough patch in his career. In addition, he can also play on right wing if required.
On the other hand, David will like to join a club which guarantees him regular game time. At City, he is very unlikely to grab the main striker position. Hence, he might hesitate to join them which gives Chelsea boost in the race.
