Madrid and Chelsea keen to sign Lukeba

Castello Lukeba currently plays for RB Leipzig and has emerged as their regular started. He has helped the German side to keep 6 clean sheets in 7 Bundesliga matches. As a result, Leipzig are on 2nd position in the league and have same points as table toppers Bayern Munich.

Lukeba has really shown his worth and promised a very bright future. He has already made his international debut foe France. Now, Fabrizio Romano has provided an update that he is being chased by Los Blancos and The Blues.

Leipzig have no intention to let their superb star leave and have already taken a big step. They have offered the player a contract extension until 2029 along with pay rise. This may make the German side’s stance strong in keeping Lukeba at the club.

However, top clubs are always prepared to spend big for a player of Lukeba’s quality. Firstly, Madrid are very likely to spend big to sign a defender next year. They wanted to sign Leny Yoro this summer who joined Man United instead. The Spanish giants have their attack sorted and now it is time to improve and secure their defence for future.

On the other hand, The Blues are very likely to be focused on defence next year. Although striker seems to be their priority, more defensive names are linked with the move to Stamford Bridge than attackers. Earlier, they were also linked with move for Benfica duo – Antonio Silva and Tomas Araujo.
