Chelsea are set to battle it out with West Ham United for 27 year old defender. They are joined by Saudi side in the race as the defender has been superb in recent seasons.
Chelsea are headed to summer window with big plans. They are likely to sign new players in all parts of the pitch. But, their main priority will be to improve their defence. As of now, they are likely to part ways with multiple defenders.
Firstly, Chalobah and Disasi are very likely to get sold. In addition, the club may also opt to sell Veiga and Badiashile for right offers. Lastly, they are worried about the injury issues of Fofana. He is linked with loan move but the Blues may opt to sell him permanently.
On the other hand, West Ham are headed for a major summer overhaul. They are having a very tough season right now. They are already parted ways with their head coach and brought in David Moyes. Hence, many changes are expected in summer with defense being top priority.
