Chelsea transfer news: 21 yo star looked upon by 2 European giants

Portugese and Italian giants are showing interest in 21 year old Chelsea star. The Blues star is heavily linked with an exit from West London and the deal can be done in next few days.

The star in question here is Carney Chukwuemeka who joined the Blues in 2022. He moved to West London as a promising youngster but has failed to live up the expectations. In his first two season in Blues jersey, he played only 27 games.

The situation of Chukwuemeka is still the same this season. Infact, it is even worse as he is way behind in pecking order. He has played only 5 games this season. In addition, he has not played a single minute in Premier League.

Chelsea are open to sell Chukwuemeka in order to free up space. He is made available along with fellow midfielders – Cesare Casadei and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall. The Blues want around £40 million for the former Villa star.

Can Chukwuemeka seal the transfer away from Chelsea this month?

The January transfer window has approached the last week. It will shut down on 3rd February. As of now, the Blues have not received any concrete offers for Chukwuemeka. However, it is very likely to change in coming days.

Firstly according to Matteo Moretto, Italian powerhouse Juventus are showing interest in Chukwuemeka. They have recently signed Renato Veiga on loan from Chelsea. At that time, the Old Lady were also involved in discussions with the Blues for Chukwuemeka.

On the other hand, Mail Sport have reported that Porto are showing interest in Chukwuemeka. The Portugese giants are interested to sign the 21 year old on loan. The Blues can sanction a loan move too but will like to insert an obligation to buy at the end of the season.

As for Casadei, Lazio are said to be in pole position to land him this month. Dewsbury-Hall has interest from multiple Premier League clubs. Lastly, there are no developments from Chelsea regarding the signing of new midfielder.
