This will come as a major boost for Chelsea who will hope that the Spaniard gets back to his top form. Cucurella was very good while playing for Brighton before joining Chelsea. His form dipped after that but he is now on the right track to getting back to his best.
Chelsea will now look to sign a highly rated centre back. It has been already revealed by Fabrizio Romano that the Blues are very active in centre back market. Hence, not signing left back suggests that we may see a big move for centre back very soon.
Ben Chilwell however looks very likely to get sold in the upcoming transfer window. The Blues wanted to offload him in summer itself but the deal never materialized. But now it seems like the deal will happen as the 27 year is not in manager’s plans and has even fell down the pecking order.
