Chelsea transfer news: Romano with key updates about Mathys Tel

Fabrizio Romano has provided some key updates about top Chelsea target Mathys Tel. The 19 year old is keen to leave Bayern Munich this week and is being looked upon by several top clubs.

Mathys Tel has finally decided to leave Bayern this month. He had a heavy interest from Chelsea but at first he was nog interested to leave Bayern. He wanted to stay at Munich for long-time.

Tel had an impressive last season with Bayern where he played 41 games. He scored 10 goals along with picking 6 assists and was hoping to have similar impact this season. But, things have not went as per the plans under new manager.

Tel has struggled for minutes and has so far played only 14 games. He is yet to register any goal this season due to playing very less. The German giants are open to part ways with him despite the player’s interest of staying.

Tel was not given any minutes in 3 straight games until the latest UCL clash where he started. However, it looks like that was the 19 year old’s last game in Bayern jersey atleast this season. He is very likely to depart from Munich in the next few days.

Can Chelsea finally sign Mathys Tel?

Chelsea are still interested to sign Tel and are working hard on the deal. However, it will be very hard for them to get it over the line. The 19 year old wants to join a club where he can play regularly and the West London club can’t guarantee him that.

Chelsea have an impressive squad depth which guarantees no player with regular minutes. Along with the Blues, Tel is aslo looked upon by Man United, Tottenham and Arsenal who can all guarantee Tel with more minutes when compared to Chelsea.

Fabrizio Romano has reported that Spurs have presented their project to Tel. They have made game time a key aspect of the discussion. They have also contact Bayern and are willing to pay €60 million if Tel accepts their proposal.
