The January transfer window is going to be quiet for Chelsea in terms of incomings. But, there can be many outgoings seen due to various reasons. As much as 5 players are very likely to move away from Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea have a very high squad depth which has forced many of their stars to sit on the bench. This has resulted in them being unhappy and willing to move away from the club. In addition, the club wants to comply with PSR and hence outgoings are expected. Here are the most heavily linked away moves.
Stars likely to move away from Chelsea in January
There are 5 stars who are very heavily linked with exit in January. First is 21 year old midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka. The former Aston Villa star has failed to impress at West London. The Blues want atleast £40 million for him.
Second player on chopping list is Ben Chilwell. Maresca tried to sell Chilwell in summer itself as he is not in the plans. But, the injury to the player resulted in him staying at West London. However, he is very likely to exit in January.
Third one on the list is Cesare Casadei who joined the Blues last season. The 21 year old is lacking game time due to being way behind in pecking order. He is being looked upon by Feyenoord and Monza currently as reported by The Goal.
Fourth and fifth players on the list are academy players who will help the Blues in PSR as the profit earned from their sale can be counted as pure profit. Alex Matos who is 20 years old and plays as midfielder is linked with exit along with Harvey Vale.
Vale will be out of contract at the end of the season. Hence, the Blues are desperate to sell him in January itself. As of now, the 21 year old is being looked upon by Anderlecht, Heerenveen and Sunderland.
