Chelsea transfers: Latest signings confirmed by Portugese club

Chelsea to go all out to sign Nigerian

Chelsea have signed two new young superstars. Portugese giants have confirmed the signings and have also revealed the transfer fee. One player is set to join the Blues this summer whereas one will arrive next year.

Chelsea are set for a busy summer window. But, they are unwilling to wait until the transfer window opens. They have already starting doing business. Recently, they completed two new signings who are both very young players.

The Blues are sticking with their plan of signing young players. They want to sign them at low-cost before anyone else and develop them into world-class stars. They have done the same with two players from Sporting CP.

The Blues have signed Geovany Quenda and Darrio Essugo. Sporting CP have now confirmed it and have given detailed information about the situation. They will receive a total of €74 million from the West London club.

Quenda was also looked upon by Man United. Ruben Amorim who worked with Quenda wanted to sign him but the player opted to choose Chelsea. It was later revealed that he wants to plays as winger and under Amorim he could have been forced to play as wing-back.

Apart from United, there were several other teams luring around Quenda. But, the Blues had an upper hand in the race due to their strong connection and operation. Quenda costed Chelsea €52 million and he will join them in summer 2026.

Darrio Essugo is currently on loan away from Sporting. He is impressing in La Liga with Las Palmas. He can play central midfielder and holding midfielder and hence is expected to play a big role for Enzo Maresca.

Essugo costed Chelsea €22 million. He is 20 years old and will be eligible to join the Blues in this summer itself. It will be interesting to see if he gets directly into first-team or if Maresca will send him on loan for some time.
