Chelsea transfers: Striker target can be available for £40 million

Chelsea to go all out to sign Nigerian

Chelsea are keen to sign a new striker this summer. One of their targets can be made available for £40 million. This will come as a big boost for the Blues.

Enzo Maresca wants to sign a new striker this summer. The Blues are likely to back the Italian and are already looking at striker options. They have already identifed some names which they feel fit best in their plans. As always, they will focus on young striker who can be viewed as long-term investment.

One of the strikers being looked upon by Chelsea is Liam Delap. The 22 year old has been superb in Premier League ever since joining Ipswich Town last summer. He has scored 11 goals and picked 2 assists in 30 league games so far.

Chelsea view Delap as the top priority for the summer window. Enzo Maresca knows Delap very well due to their time together at Man City. Hence, the Blues are keen to sign him and reunite him with Cole Palmer. In addition, they are also said to have plan ready for Delap.

Chelsea can sign Delap for £40 million this summer

Firstly, Ipswich Town rated Liam Delap very highly. They are keen to keep him but will feel powerless to do so. The Tractor Boys are likely to get relegated this season and Delap is too good to play in Championship. Hence, he is likely to move to a bigger club to take next step in his career.

According to Mail Sport, Liam Delap can be made available for £40 million this summer. The Tractor Boys can agree a deal in this region if they get relegated. As of now, they are on 18th position but have 12 points less than 17th position team. Hence, there is a very slim chance of them avoiding relegation.
