Chelsea, Manchester United and 5 other Premier League clubs are keeping tabs on French star. The player is in superb form this season and is very likely to receive a move to a big club this summer.

The star in question here is Jean-Philippe Mateta who plays for Crystal Palace. He is 27 year old and plays as striker. Mateta joined Palace in January 2022 and has been world-class since the last season.

Mateta finished the last season with 19 goals and 5 assists in 39 games. He has been able to keep up with his fine form and so far has scored 13 goals along with picking 2 assists in 28 games this season.

It looks like Mateta will move away from Palace this summer. He is being looked upon by many club across whole Europe. As far as English football is concerned, the 27 year old has interest from 7 different clubs.

According to TBR Football, Mateta is being looked upon by Chelsea, Man United, Aston Villa, West Ham United, Newcastle United, Nottingham Forest and Bournemouth ahead of the summer transfer window.

Chelsea are likely to sign a new striker this summer. But, they like to sign youngsters and Mateta is 27 which questions there interst in the French forward. However, they can still opt to sign him considering his goal-scoring ability.

On the other hand, Man United are in much more need to sign striker than the Blues. They are very likely to make a big money signing with Gyokeres being their top target. However, they can still sign Mateta due to his experience in Premier League and his price tag.

Crystal Palace will find it very hard to reject any decent bid for Mateta. It will be very easy for top clubs to convince the 27 year old to join them by offering European football along with pay-rise. It will be interesting to see what future hold for Mateta and Crystal Palace.
