Chelsea are keen to sign a new winger this summer. They have one Spanish winger on their radar whom they view as a dream signing.

Chelsea are headed for another big summer transfer window. They are set to make some key signings that have backing from Enzo Maresca. As of now, they are keen to sign a new striker and a new winger in the attacking department.

The Blues want a left winger who is young as they are likely to stick with their plans of hiring young players. But, they want the player to play on right and in middle when needed. As of now, they have a Spanish winger who is perfect fit.

The star in question here is Nico Williams of Athletic Club. He is 22 years old and has been superb in recent seasons. According to Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea view Williams as a dream target this summer. But, the Blues will surely face heavy competition from other clubs.

Arsenal have been huge admirers of Williams since last summer. They were impressed with the player’s performances in Euro 2024. They tried to sign him but failed last summer. The North London club are likely to re-enter the market again.

However, Williams is demanding very high wages to move away from Athletic Club. None of the Premier League clubs are ready to agree with this demands. This can be the only reason behind the failure of his move to England this summer.

Williams will be a great fit for any of the London clubs if the deal goes through. He has scored 11 goals and picked 7 assists in 43 games this season. He is currently at England to play Europa League semi-finals. This gives the interested clubs to take a close look at him before making any move this summer.
