Chelsea vs Arsenal: Post match analysis and key stats

There were points shared at Stamford Bridge in the Chelsea vs Arsenal clash. Both clubs had equal impact and scored one goal each. The Blues stay on the third place whereas Gunners stay on fourth place in the Premier League with 19 points each.

Both clubs had a lot of chances in the first half but both failed to capitalize. Havertz did found the back of the net in 32nd minute but it was reviewed by VAR. The decision was no goal as the German was offside.

Both teams had very little to share with Gunners have just two percent more possession (51%) than Blues (49%). Chelsea had more total shots (17) than Arsenal (13) but both had 3 shots on target each.

Gunners completed more passes (375) than Chelsea (358). The Blues then had more long balls (24) than Arsenal (15) and also had more crosses (5) than Arsenal who only had 2 accurate crosses.

When it came to defending, the Blues had a clear upper hand. They won 16 tackles with 89% success rate, made 7 interceptions, 19 clearances and 6 blocks.

On the other hand, Gunners won 6 tackles with only 50% success rate, made 6 interceptions, 17 clearances and 8 blocks. Lastly, Chelsea were better at winning ground duels whereas Arsenal were better at winning ariel duels. All stats are as per FOTMOB.
