Chelsea want to bring their new signing to Europe earlier than expected. They are keen ti help the player adapt to the new enviornment before starting to play in the Blue jersey.
The star in question here is highly talented Kendry Paez. Paes is Ecuadorian player who is only 17 years old. He currently plays for Independiente del Valle whom he joined in 2018. He already had interest from European clubs in 2022 but the deals ended in failure.
Paez has played 64 games for his club on senior level so far. He has been superb in those and has scored 13 goals. In addition, he has even picked 6 assists so far. Out if those goals and assists, 8 goals and 5 assists are from 2024 season which suggest how fast Paez is evolving.
Despite being only 17 years old, Paez has already played 17 games for Equador national team. He has 2 goals and 2 assists for his country and is now their regular member. He has impressed everyone with his dribbling skills and maturity on the pitch at such a young stage.
Chelsea have already agreed to bring Paez in their squad. But they are unable to do so right now as Paez is only 17 years old. He will be only allowed to join the Blues in summer after he completes 18 years of age. But, the West London club still wants to bring him early.
Chelsea planning to bring Paez to England early
As reported by Futbolecuador, the Blues are keen to let Paez have adaption period in Europe. This situation is being discussed about within the agency of the club and representatives of the player. The reports also state that Paez will make his first Europe trip very soon.
Even if Paez is not allowed to move to Europe early, he will be revealed as new Chelsea player in summer. He will be joined by Estevao who too will turn 18 very soon. It will be interesting what Chelsea plan for Paez – wheter it is to include him in first team squad, play him in youth level or send him on loan.
