Despite not signing new striker, the Blues have done really well in attack. The credits go to Nicolas Jackson who has stepped up and claimed his place as a main striker.
Jackson has been in a superb form this season. He has started in all 12 Premier League games this season. The 23 year old has already scored 7 goals and has also picked 3 assists in the process.

As per The Athletic, the Blues consider Jackson as one of the top 3 strikers in England right now. Looking at the striker’s top form there is nothing to argue about the club’s statement.
Jackson had a very good debut season with Chelsea last season. He was able to score 17 goals in total. That was the best goal-scoring season of his career but he is very likely to surpass that mark this season.
The 23 year old already has 7 goals this season and there is still majority of the season yet to be played. He can now force Chelsea to change their plans of signing another big name striker and instead look for his backup.
Jackson looks like a perfect fit for Maresca’s system. He has perfect all round game which has helped him to secure his spot as regular starter above players like Christopher Nkunku. Chelsea fans will hope that Jackson keeps delivering like this and lead the club back into Champions League next season.
