Mudryk was very highly rated while playing at Shakhtar Donetsk. He started the 2022/23 season in superb fashion. In the first half of that season, the Ukrainian scored 10 goals and picked 9 assists in just 18 matches.

The winger’s top form caught attention of many top clubs. It was Chelsea who came out successful as they paid £89 million to secure his signature. But, the deal has not paid of for Chelsea so far.

Mudryk has not been able to adapt to English football. He has struggled to leave his mark and as a result, has fell down the pecking order. He is now below Neto, Felix and Sancho which has limited his game time to only 145 minutes in Premier League.

Mudryk has been heavily linked with Chelsea exit in next year. He was even linked with loan moves in January with Crystal Palace keen to sign him. But, now it seems like there is another opportunity for the 23 year old at West London.

Mykhailo Mudryk to get another chance at Chelsea

As per Football Insider, the Blues are prepared to hand Mudryk another chance to change their mind. They feel that the player can play a crucial role for them in the second half of the season.

Mudryk has played consistently for the Blues in other competitions. He has scored 2 goals and picked 3 assists in Conference League and helped the Blues to sit on the top of table. He has also picked an assist in Carabao Cup fixture.

As of now, Mudryk is far away from being a regular starter in Premier League. But he will now have another six months to fit for his place in the squad and eventually compete for the starting position.
