Chennaiyin FC Signs Davinder Singh on One Year-Deal

Davinder Singh sings for Chennaiyin FC ahead of New Season. Certainly, the 25-Year-Old Indian Defender will play of the Marina Machans till the end of 2022. In addition, this will make the Indian International return to the field after three years. Because of the Knee injury, he missed the last three editions of ISL.

“With Indian players taking up more and more responsibility, we are delighted to further strengthen our defensive department with a prospect such as Davinder”. – said CFC co-owner, Vita Dani.

Davinder Singh had a fruitful spell back in the days before the injury. Most importantly after making some impressive performance for India’s U-23 at the AFC Champaign in 2018. And soon he made his senior debut for the Blue Tigers in SAFF Championship 2018.

“With Chennaiyin FC’s rich history in the Indian Super League, it is a tremendous honour for me to become a part of this club. The passion of the fans and the club’s family-led ethos made it a very easy decision for me to sign.” – Said Davinder Singh after signing for CFC.

Certainly, he also expressed his gratitude for playing again in a professional league. And his determination to make a memorable comeback.

“I am very excited to be working with head coach Boško and my new teammates, some of who I have known for years. I have always given my 100% and this season, I am even more determined to bring success back to Chennaiyin FC and my ambition is to make my way back to representing the Indian national team again. And I believe this will happen,”. -further added by Davinder.

He made his debut in the ISL in 2017-18 with Mumbai City FC. And he made 9 appearances for them including one Super Cup. In addition, he won the Emerging Player of the Match in his debut Match.
