Man City have entered into a race with Arsenal to sign the 17-year-old Brazilian winger Savio from Atletico Minero.

Earlier on, the stable Red Bull clubs (RB Salzburg and RB Leipzig) were looking to bring the Brazilian winger in January. The situation has changed quite a lot now with City now leading the race to sign Savio in the summer.

Rise of Brazilian Winger Savinho

Savio was a member of the Brazil U-15 squad that won the South American under-15 championship in the year 2019. His spectacular performances for Atletico Minero has attracted a lot of interest from the big clubs of Europe.

Furthermore, it’s being said that City has hijacked the deal from Arsenal. According to Fabrizio Romano, Manchester City have bid €6.5m for the Brazilian winger. Furthermore, City would be adding another Brazilian prodigy to their squad. Savio set to follow Kayky who was also signed recently from Fluminese.

He would also be accompanied by his senior National sides players like Gabriel Jesus, Ederson, and Fernandinho. It also reported that the deal will have add-ons and sell-on fees.

The idea behind this transfer is to buy the 17-year-old Brazilian winger and loan him to Eredivise club PSV Eindhoven. As the player would not be able to get much game time, which would be crucial for his development. The highly-rated winger at this particular age, if given the right conditions would become a great asset for any team he plays for.

Additionally, if the deal goes through, Manchester City would have a plethora of Brazilians in their squad. Having plenty of Brazilians as an attacking options too, there is no doubt that the team’s chemistry would skyrocket.

However, still, there is a lot of time for the Brazilian Winger to decide his future as well as the Summer window.
