Bayern Munich may sell Mané and Gnabry this summer

This season, neither Gnabry nor Mané have been consistently good, and while Gnabry has been a decent attacker. Mané has found himself entangled in two issues. Firstly Mané clashed with previous coach Julian Nagelsmann over less playing time. Secondly, he had a highly publicised violent confrontation with teammate Leroy Sané, which resulted in the former Liverpool player being fined and suspended. As stated by Fabrizio Romano in his exclusive Daily Briefing for CaughtOffside, no decisions on Sadio Mane’s future at Bayern Munich have been made. The Senegal international was a Liverpool star for many years. However he has struggled since joining Bayern this season. Consequently his future is now in doubt following a high-profile dispute with colleague Leroy Sane. The 31-year-old remains a world-class talent. Everyone is certain that if he were to leave this summer, he’d have plenty of suitors.

“My latest understanding on Mane’s future is that, despite rumours, no one from Bayern has any intention to make decisions on this in short term”, Romano said.

“This is something to discuss with Mane and Tuchel involved in the next weeks. I think Mane can play everywhere, he’s a top player, but it just depends on his feeling now after a difficult season.”

However Gnabry’s performances have been even more unpredictable compared to previous seasons. While he remains a wonderful talent, new coach Thomas Tuchel may be seeking to mix up the squad a little to help develop a club that will match his strategic vision.
