Cristiano Ronaldo offers words of wisdom to Man United boss

It has been 3 years since Cristiano Ronaldo made an dramatic return to Manchester United. He had a great first season personally in his second spell with Red Devils. Ronaldo played 38 matches across all competitions in 2021/22 season. He was able to score 24 times out of which 18 were in Premier League. The rest 6 goals came in Champions League where he single handedly carried United.

Ronaldo became the top scorer for Man United in the 2021/22 season. But, his brilliance was still unable to keep United in top 4. This saw a managerial change and Erik Ten Hag joined the club. Ten Hag was not trusting Ronaldo and as a result, Ronaldo’s gametime reduced drastically. Before the start of 2022 World Cup, Ronaldo only played 10 Premier League matches. In addition, he only started 4 of those.

Ronaldo then went on to do an interview with Piers Morgan. He made some bold statements and even said that he does not respect Ten Hag. Cristiano claimed that United tried to force him out of the club. He said that he felt betrayed. This saw United terminate his contract. Ronaldo then joined Al Nassr in the winter transfer window.
