Crystal Palace has asked Chelsea to sign Mykhailo Mudryk on loan in January. This deal seems to turn out good for both clubs along with the player himself.
Mudryk came into Chelsea’s attention in the 2022/23 season. He was very good while playing for Shakhtar Donetsk. He had 10 goals and 9 assists in just 18 games that season. This made Chelsea to sign him in winter transfer window itself.
The Blues paid around €100 million to secure signature of Mudryk. But they have failed to get the best out of the Ukrainian. Mudryk has played 72 matches for Chelsea so far and has only scored 9 goals and picked 8 assists.
Now, the 23 year winger does not play regularly for Chelsea. He has fallen down the pecking order behind Plame, Neto, Sancho, Felix and Madueke. Hence, it is for the best interest for both club and the player to part ways next year.
Crystal Palace interested to sign Chelsea winger Mudryk in January
As per Football Transfers, Palace want to sign Mudryk in January. They are currently on the 18th position in the Premier League and hence will want to save their season. They lost Michael Olise this summer to Bayern Munich who’s void is not yet filled by anyone.
On the other hand, Chelsea will like to part ways with Mudryk permanently. They will listen to offers in January but not many clubs make big moves in winter market. Hence, they may agree to send the winger on loan before parting ways permanently in summer.
Mudryk may be tempted to move to Palace as he will receive regular game time for sure. He can use that as an opportunity to attract other top clubs and secure his future in summer transfer market. He can be even called back by Chelsea but the chances of that happening are very low.
