Olmo spent seven years in FC Barcelona academy before joining Dinamo Zagreb in 2015. The Spanish international won numerous titles with Croatian club before moving to Germany. Olmo became RB Leipzig player in January 2020 and ever since has been with German club. Olmo’s current contract with Leipzig expires in 2027. However, his €60 million release clause expires on 20 July. The 26-year-old midfielder thinks that the clubs interested in him need to fight in order to achieve his signature. FC Barcelona are interested to bring their academy graduate back to Camp Nou. However, his €60 million release clause could prove to be a big upset for Spanish giants. Barca are currently in financial crises. They need to part ways with some of their existing stars if they want to achieve Olmo’s signature.

Manchester rivals are also part of the race to sign Olmo. Manchester United are actively looking for midfielder. Along with Olmo, United are linked with Joao Neves and Manuel Ugarte. Manchester City can trigger Olmo’s €60 million release clause with ease. City have a number of quality midfielders in their squad and hence it won’t be a priority to sign Dani Olmo. However, Pep Guardiola is big admirer of Spanish international.

Liverpool are prepared to trigger Olmo’s release clause before it expires next week. The Reds already signed Dominik Szoboszlai from Leipzig last summer and have a good relationship with German club. Liverpool believe that Olmo could be Salah’s successor after the Egyptian international leaves Anfield.

Arsenal are desperately looking for midfielder. However, the Gunners want a midfielder that plays deeper role. Olmo plays on advanced side. However, he is hugely versatile and can effectively operate on both right and left flanks. Olmo’s addition will make Arteta’s side a threat for opposition.

Olmo is joint top scorer of Euro 2024 and has opportunity to win Golden boot in final against England. Olmo averaged 3.96 total shots and 1.58 shots on target per 90.
