Decision made: Arsenal star ready to depart in January

The january transfer window is rapidly approaching. As per the reports, Arsenal star Jakub Kiwior is now ready to depart in january. He is looked upon by many of the Italian clubs.

Kiwior joined Gunners in January 2023 from Spezia. He used to play as centre back but was also used as left back by Mikel Arteta. Kiwior impressed in the opening months of his Arsenal career. But later he was often forced off the pitch due to injuries and other issues.

This summer, Gunners signed Riccardo Calafiori who claimed the place as main left back. Jurrien Timber has also returned from injury which has reduced the game time of Kiwior to large extent. The Polish player has only played 96 minutes across 4 Premier League games this season.

Kiwior has fallen down the pecking order. He is far behind than Saliba and Gabriel but what makes it worse is that Arteta prefers others above him too if any of regular centre backs are injured. Before Kiwior, Arteta likes to use Calafiori, White and Timber which is a bad news for the Polish defender.

Jakub Kiwior ready to leave Arsenal in january

Now, as per Football Insider, Kiwior is now ready to depart from North London in january. He is been linked with a move to Italy where he impressed before joining Arsenal. As of now, he is linked with Juventus, Inter Milan, AC Milan and Napoli. The interested clubs will plan to sign the defender on loan at first before handing him a long term contract.

Gunners on the other hand may agree as they are also ready to part ways with him. The player will leave only after 2 years with only 45 matches played for the club. But, it is a deal that will be in good interest for all the parties involved.

Kiwior may get regular football which is very necessary for him as he will enter the prime of his career. Gunners will lose a key asset but they can use the money earned from the deal to go after their next targets. Lastly, any club who signs Kiwior will get a versatile defender to add more quality in their back line.
