€100 million Chelsea target wants to join Juventus

One Chelsea target wants to join Juventus next year. The Serie A giants are also keen to sign him and will have to pay €100 million in order to sign him.

The star in question here is Antonio Silva. Silva is 21 years old and plays as central defender. He came through Benfica’s academy and has been regular first team player since the 2022/23 season.

Silva has €100 million release clause in his contract with Benfica which runs until 2027. He is the regulat starter for the Portugese giants. In addition, Silva is now a regular player for Portugal national team.

Chelsea to miss out on Silva as he wants to join Juventus

Earlier, it was reported that the Blues are keen to sign the 21 year old. Chelsea are very likely to make moves to improve their defence. Their attack and midfield is all sorted this season under new boss Enzo Maresca.

But, the defence and keeping is still an issue for the West London club. Along with Silva, the Blues have also shown interest in his teammate Tomas Araujo. Both defenders are still available but it seems Silva is moving away from Chelsea’s reach.

Silva’s agent Jorge Mendes has recently told Sky Sports that Juventus wants Silva and vice versa. He added that the 21 year old is highly rated by top clubs in the world. Lastly, he said that the final decision will depend on what Benfica think.

Juventus are in desperate need to sign defenders next year. Currently their two main defenders – Bremer and Cabal are injured and will miss the rest of the season. This suggests that the Italian giants will go all out in January window.

Silva can be a very good addition to any of the top club. He is 21 years old which makes him long term investment. Juve are still undefeated in Serie A but sit on 6th position in points table. They will like to improve their squad in order to qualify for Champions League next season.
