€50 million striker’s agent in talks with Arsenal and Man United

Gunner Lucas Perez

Arsenal and Manchester United both have common target for the next transfer window. The both clubs are interested to add to their attacking unit and sign a striker. The player of their interest is Benjamin Sesko who’s agent is in talks with both Arsenal and United.

Benjamin Sesko who is currently rated at €50 million by Transfermarkt, is one of the top strikers at the moment. He was linked with many clubs this summer, most of which were from Premier League. But Sesko decided to sign a new contract with RB Leipzig and rejected many offers in the process.

Sesko joined Leipzig last year from Salzburg. He has been able to score 18 goals in each of his past 2 seasons. This season, he has again started on a strong note and has scored 6 goals in 9 matches. In addition, he has also been able to assist 3 times which makes his goal involvements 9 in 9 matches.

Benjamin Sesko to Arsenal?

Despite signing a new contract this summer it seems like Sesko will look for a new challenge next year. According to TEAMtalk, his agent has been in contact with both Arsenal and Man United. The reports also say that Gunners have upper hand in landing Sesko at the moment.

Arsenal do need a clinical striker and were heavily linked with Sesko this summer. Sesko is only 21 years old but has already made 35 international appearances for Slovenia. He has been able to find the back of the net 15 times for his country.

Gunners are very likely to part ways with Gabriel Jesus and could replace him with Sesko. They surely have to pay a hefty fee to Leipzig as Sesko’s new contract runs until 2029.

As for Man United, they already have Rasmus Hojlund along with summer signing Joshua Zirkzee. Going for Sesko doesn’t seem right as both of these current strikers are youngsters too. However, United board may have some different plans and it would be interesting to watch how Sesko’s story unfolds next year.
