- The Canadian striker can be signed for free next summer
- The 24 year old has now named his dream club which may come as a big blow for Premier League giants
Chelsea and Arsenal will both be in the transfer market to sign a striker. The Blues do have lot of options and Nicolas Jackson is playing very well at the moment. But they will still go after another striker.
On the other hand, Arsenal are in desperate need of striker. They lack proper number nine as Gabriel Jesus is struggling to provide at the moment. Kai Havertz is being used as striker but it is not his preferred position.
Jonathan David of Lille has caught attention of both clubs in recent days. He is 24 years old and his contract with French club will expire at the end of season. David is very likely to leave Lille and hence Premier League clubs are planning to pave his way to England.
Arsenal and Chelsea hit with bad news as Jonathan David names his dream club
David was recently interviewed by The Athletic. He was asked about his dream club. The Canadian striker named Spanish giants Barcelona as his dream club which may suggest that he maybe open to join them in future.
“Barcelona was always the team I grew up supporting. When you grow up supporting a team, it’s your dream to play for team” – David naming his dream club.
Barca have Lewandowski as the main striker right now. The Polish striker is still going strong with 19 goals in 17 games this season. But he will be 37 next year and hence the Spanish giants may start to look for his replacements.
David can be tempted by Barca to join for free. The player may finally fulfill his dream of playing at Camp Nou. However, this will be major blow for both Chelsea and Arsenal who would have dreamt of David leading their frontline.
