Erling Haaland is subject to heavy criticism after his actions in the Arsenal vs Man City game. The 24-year-old star striker ended up losing his cool in the game week 5 of the Premier League. Although, the Norwegian began the game in some fashion. He put the Sky Blues ahead inside the first 10 minutes. While doing so, he also scored his 100th goal for the club. At the same time, he managed to equalized Cristiano Ronaldo’s record by doing so in 105 games. But, the Gunners soon found their way back into the game through Calafiori’s strike. Then before you know it, they were heading into the second half with a 2-1 lead thanks to Gabriel. But, they were also down to 10 as Trossard was sent off. So, the home side were in good position to bounce back into the match.
Erling Haaland left in frustration
Man City had almost all of the ball against Arsenal in the second half. They created more and continued to press on the attack. But, the Gunners kept denying them. David Raya was excellent for the away side once more. Saliba and Gabriel gave Erling Haaland no real chance in the second half. The Sky Blues kept trying and pushing but could not find a way back into the game until the very end. John Stones came off the bench to score in the added time and put the home side on level terms. As a result, the game ended on a 2-2 draw.
Ian Wright calls Haaland ‘coward’
As soon as Stones scored, the 24-year-old striker picked up the ball and slammed it into the head of Gabriel. The defender had his back turned towards the Norwegian. And so, as per bbc, PL legend Ian Wright ended up calling him a coward for his actions. To make matters worse, the Man City star was involved in more altercations. He would go on to lash out on Myles Lewis-Skelly and face-off Gabriel Jesus after the final whistle. The 24-year-old is quite lucky that he won’t be facing any punishment for his actions during the game week 5. But, nonetheless, he is making the news for all the wrong reasons as of now.
