Manchester United 1-0 Watford Post-match analysis:

Manchester United started the game at home brilliantly and they got the reward from a corner kick, an excellent delivery from Alex Telles headed home by Scott McTominey.

United moved the ball brilliantly and the movement in front of the Watford backline was good as well. Courtesy of this Manchester United had 9 attempts inside just 20 minutes.

But as the game grew old United lost from the game and had few scares from dead-ball situations of Watford. Ismaila Sarr put the Red Devils defence in danger by his pace from the right-wing.

But an injury to Eric Bailly in his head was a really bad situation for United at the end of the first half and Harry Maguire replaced him.

The second half was very dull Manchester United could not produce the football that they played in the early stages of the game. Neither team managed a single opening.

Dan James had an attempt but his shot went straight into the goalkeeper’s gloves and Marcus Rashford went past his man but his tamed shot was comfortable for the Watford goalkeeper.

Watford didn’t manage to put in a huge amount of trouble the Manchester United defence and in the end, it was an easy 1-0 win for Manchester United.
