Former Manchester United player Dimitar Berbatov was all praises for Fabinho who is currently playing for Liverpool. He was signed by The Reds after paying a hefty price of €45 million to Monaco in 2018. Since then Brazilian midfielder has been instrumental in helping The Reds to win every trophy possible.
Change of fortune for both Fabinho and Liverpool
Liverpool is a star-studded team. Getting a position in the First team is a tough task. Klopp is very good at rotating players ensuring they get enough rest. So, when the time comes every player is giving his best performance in the game.
Fabinho has managed to play 181 games for seven-time Premier League winners. His former teammate at Monaco Dimitar Berbatov said:
“We were in Monaco together, he was a young boy back then. I came from the Premier League but straight away I could see his talent. He was very good in training, taking responsibility in the games, he could play at right-back and in the middle of the park,”
“In training sessions I was used to physical contact, most of the time I was smashing him here and there, with elbows and shoulders so he could go on the ground. He was like ‘Berba, come on!’ and I’m like ‘I’m preparing you for the Premier League”.
“Funnily enough, years later he’s in the Premier League and one of the best players in the Liverpool team.”
Berbatov and Fabinho played at Monaco in the 2015 season.
Step forward
The 28-year-old is very important to Liverpool’s line-up. He has helped them to win the FIFA Club World Cup, Premier League, FA Cup, Community Shield, UEFA Champions League, and UEFA Super Cup. If The Reds want to see themselves get to the top of the Premier League table then like all, it is imperative for the Brazilian to get his best form back.
