Former Manchester United full-back Fabio da Silva has asked Red Devils to sign Atletico Madrid right-back Kieran Trippier.
Kieran Trippier joined Atletico Madrid in 2019 from Tottenham Hotspur and since then he has made over 38 appearances for Atletico in all competitions and has become a favorite to start under Diego Simeone.
Despite having a contract with the Spanish giants till the summer of 2022 he has admitted that he is open to a move back to the Premier League. United have been keeping an eye on the 30-year-old as they have expressed their desire of signing him.
Fabio feels signing Trippier would be a major boost to the defense?
According to Daily Mail Fabio da Silva who is a former Manchester United player has said that competition will bring the best out of Aaron Wan Bisakka.
‘If you see how Luke Shaw is doing this season, I think it’s the best season he’s been having for so long at Man United,’
‘Telles has made him improve, someone to say ‘if you’re not playing well, if you’re not concentrating, working hard, you’re going to lose your place’.
‘This definitely makes you play better, so for Wan-Bissaka if they bring in a good right-back, you’re going to help him to improve – Fabio told to Manchester United Evening News.
Manchester United who are currently 2nd in the Premier League will look forward to signing another right-back as they require a back-up option to Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
Therefore United will look to sign Trippier as he would be a perfect back-up option to Wan-Bissaka and the competition between them for a place to start in the team would eventually help both the players improve their game. Hence Manchester United should look at signing the English star by opening talks with Atletico over his acquisition.
