Real Madrid might have to fight for some of their remaining fixtures which includes their fixture against Liverpool, without their key players. Skipper Sergio Ramos, Eden Hazard, Toni Kroos, Dani Carvajal, and Federico Valverde are the players that would be missed.
Los Blancos are set to face Liverpool at home in the Champions League quarterfinals on Wednesday. It would be a crucial match for the club for their quest for lifting The Big Ears once again.
The Reds would be looking for a revenge of their loss in the CL final during the 2017-18 season to the Spanish capital. Jurgen Klopp would be hoping to succeed at least in the Champions League failing to defend their Premier League title.
Will Madrid suffer against Liverpool due to injury crisis?
Real Madrid had been facing a big obstacle in the form of injuries this season. The defending La Liga Champions are fighting for the league as well as the European club competition. However, it would be a difficult task for them without their key players.
According to reports, Toni Kroos and Federico Valverde are recovering well from their injuries but might be rested as of now. The former had acquired an injury during the ongoing World Cup qualifiers.
However, the latter player would be back playing in the El Clasico against Barcelona. But, the chances of him playing the first leg against Liverpool are thin. Although, he might feature in the away leg.
Eden Hazard and Dani Carvajal might only recover in mid-April. Both of them are struggling with repetitive injuries and thus, they also won’t feature even in the away leg.
However, the injury to club captain Sergio Ramos will be the biggest concern. The veteran had just recovered from knee injury but he currently picked up a calf injury during the international break.
