Florian Wirtz is having an great time with Bayer Leverkusen this term. And he looks to be one of Europe’s most wanted young talents.
The 21-year-old has managed to score 15 goals and provided 13 assists across all competitions this term. As a result, top clubs across the world have got their eyes on him.
The Germany international has a fantastic football brain, superb technique, and an great creative instinct. His current manager, Xabi Alonso, a former Real Madrid superstar, is fond of his player.
It is no wonder he is on Liverpool‘s shortlist this summer. The Reds also appears to be targeting attacking midfielders this summer. The German will surely be considered if they are after flair and vision from midfield into the final third.
Big European sides join the race

Meanwhile, Arsenal want to ease their overreliance on Martin Odegaard. They see Wirtz as a key piece in their midfield puzzle. United have also been linked, though their interest appears less concrete for now.
With so many clubs in the mix, Bayer Leverkusen are in a strong position. In addition, they are reportedly planning to extend Wirtz’s contract until 2028.
However, any club serious about signing him will have to offer at least €120-130 million.
Whether the Reds can beat out the competition remains to be seen. But, one thing is clear, Florian Wirtz is the real deal. And the battle to land him is just getting started.
