Fontana talks about Andre Onana

Former Inter Goalkeeper, Fontana talks about Andre Onana, according to reports from Team Talk.

Onana is terrible:

Andre Onana have been terrible. Mistakes after mistakes kept piling up for him to be honest. There was not really any way they can save the team with this goalkeeper. There was not really a single match where Onana did not really make a mistake. In most of the matches, Onana did not even keep clean sheets at all. He also blamed a few goals on the defenders in front as well.

He performed well in the recent match against Fulham where they lost. However, that is a really very rare sight to see to be honest. It is said that Ruben Amorim may get rid of Onana in the recent summer transfer window. However, the problem exists about if anyone will buy him or not. He was bought for an amount of  £43.8 million by Erik Ten Hag. It is said he could play in the playstyle of Erik Ten Hag. However, he did not perform well at all.

Fontana talks about Andre Onana:

Onana’s ball stopping capability was horrendous. His ball playing was good. In the recent matches, he made mistakes in the matches of Nottingham Forest, Brighton and Wolves. Former Inter Goalkeeper, Fontana says that Andre Onana is really bad. He said he could not stand Onana. The player had a lot of smoke and somersaults as well. He said that he played the same role for many years. He said he knows when he wants to make things difficult when it is really not. Fontana talked about the classic saves for photographers. At the same time he said he does not know how can Onana be at that level right now. He also said he is not really worth  £50 million. Fontana would take him for free instead.

Author’s Opinion:

I think Alberto Fontana is correct to be honest. Onana is absolutely horrendous and there is no way, he costs that much to be honest.
