Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard as Managers:

Footballers nearing their retirement have two choices – to continue in the football team with another role or enjoy their luxurious life.

However, the former legends of Chelsea and Liverpool have chosen the first path – to contribute to the beautiful game being the head coach. Frank Lampard is Chelsea coach whereas Steven Gerrard manages Scottish giants, Rangers.

Lampard began his managerial career at Derby County. He almost helped the Rams to play in the Premier League but lost to Aston Villa in the play-offs final.

Lampard hasn’t won any trophy with the club he served as a player for 13 years.

The former Blues midfielder lost his first two games in charge as a manager but successfully helped the Blues finish at 3rd place. He lead the London club to FA Cup Final 2020 however lost against Arsenal.

However, Gerrard is enjoying his time as a manager coaching for Rangers. The Scottish side are unbeaten for 22 matches in their league with 18 wind and 3 draws.

The Teddy Bears are set to break the records set by Celtic when Brendan Rodgers was their manager. Their defensive play is very good with only conceding 5 goals till now!

Safety first, then football!

Gerrard personally thinks that the fun and enjoyment would be lost if there would be no football due to emerging COVID Positive cases.

The footballing world came to a standstill after months of lockdown due to the spread of the highly contagious virus, Coronavirus. Another few weeks or months without football would be difficult for the fans.

However, as per Frank Lampard, safety should be of paramount importance.

Lampard stated that many people working for the betterment of the football experience are risking their lives to this virus. A new, more infectious strain of Coronavirus was reported in England and the positive cases have gradually increased.

” I know that might not be a nice thing to say, but these are tough times for everybody. We enjoy watching our football but safety and health have to come first.”
