Chelsea dropped points against Crystal Palace in their home. Chelsea legend Franck Lampard spoke about the current problems and future of the club. He also shared his thoughts about Enzo Maresca.
Chelsea have played 5 games this season. Three of those came in Premier League where they were able to win only one. The rest two games came in Europa Conference League where Chelsea managed to win one and lose one. The Blues are unable to stay consistent under Enzo Mareca. However the manager is backed by the club legend and former manager.
Frank Lampard about current Chelsea side
To start with, Lampard said that there will be inconsistency. It is because of the young players. He added when you look at the moments in the game where Chelsea are on the top, they are not clinical. Lampard thinks this is because the players are still very young. He says that there is a lot of talent in the squad.
Later Lampard spoke about Enzo Maresca. Maresca recently said that this is not the same Chelsea that won Champions League and Lampard agrees with that. Lampard said that he was at the club 18 months ago and it never felt like the same club which was successful for past 20 years.
However Lampard is optimistic about the future. He thinks there is lot of talent in Chelsea football club and experience will help them in getting back.
