Frank Lampard wants “Chance Creator” in Chelsea’s starting lineup

Chelsea had to face defeat against Liverpool in the recent Premier League fixture. However, some of the the Chelsea players had a decent game and one of them was Pedro Neto. Neto impressed Frank Lampard who thinks the Portugese star deserves place in starting eleven.

Lampard has been one of the best playmaker in Premier League history. He definately can see the potential and how players impact the game. He has now identified Neto as a key player. Despite coming on as a substitute Neto created the most chances.

Chelsea had more control of the game but failed to materialize. Lampard said it is always disappointing when something like this happens. He added Liverpool were not at their best and still Chelsea left the game with nothing.

Lampard then said that game-changers like Cole Palmer failed to deliever. Palmer had very high expectations but was not at his best. That’s when Lampard admired Neto and the impact he had in second half.

“I think Pedro Neto came on and added a lot, I think he probably pushed himself into a big chance of starting the next games going forward. I think he should, he’s dynamic and he changed a bit from up there” – Lampard speaking about Neto.

Lastly, Lampard said that Chelsea are lacking something at the top end of the pitch. He feels like the clubs definately leave with something (atleast a point) when the play like how Chelsea played against Liverpool.

How good was Neto against Liverpool?

Neto came on as a substitute for Jadon Sancho in the second half. Despite playing only a single half, he created most chances than anyone else on the pitch. He was looking like a proper playmaker and was also able to fire one shot.

Neto finished the match with 81% passing accuracy. He was very good on the wings and delivered 67% accurate crosses. Lastly, he made 1 recovery, won 1 ground duel and 1 ariel duel. All stats are as per FOTMOB.
