Two goals from Edinson Cavani and Paul Pogba helped United to retain the top spot. The Fulham goal was scored by Ademola Lookman.
Manchester United now remain in the unbeaten run in their last 13 Premier League games with 10 wins and 3 draws and earned 33 points out of possible 39.
Ole Gunner Solskjær’s boys now at the top of the table with 40 points in 19 games and Fulham remain at the 18th with 12 points in 18 games.

Scott Parker made two forced changes in his Fulham side as left-back Antonee Robinson picked up a red card and Joe Bryan came in for him and Ruben Loftus-Cheek came back to the side.
Solskjær made few changes in his side what he has done a lot this season. Eric Bailly started in defence and Edinson Cavani also started in the centre forward position.
Paul Pogba started in the midfield after he was used out wide on Sunday and Mason Greenwood started in the right-wing position in place of Marcus Rashford who was rested for this encounter.
Fulham 1-2 Manchester United post-match analysis:
Manchester United made a slow start to the game as they so often do in the away games. Lookman put Fulham ahead very early, United defence tried to catch him offside but Aaron Wan-Bissaka was the deepest man and kept Lookman onside who finished it off very calmly.
But, Manchester United came back very quickly and a long-range effort from Bruno Fernandes of his left foot came off the post. But in the follow-up ball, Fernandes’ cross fumbled by the goalkeeper Alphonse Areola and Cavani utilised the opportunity like a hunter.
United got another opportunity to go ahead but the shot of Fernandes saved by the on-loan goalkeeper Areola from PSG.
In the second half, United dominated the game but Fulham had few counter-attacks but could not find the back of the net.
The crucial winner came from Pogba on the 65th-minute mark from an excellent long-ranger of his wrong foot from the right side and gave United the lead.
Straightway the Red Devils could have scored another one but Cavani’s headed effort brilliantly saved by Fulham keeper.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek had two glorious opportunities to give the equaliser for Fulham but he could not find the back of the net.
In the end, the Red Devils fans heart came to the mouth when they saw Aleksandar Mitrovic header deflected almost into the goal but luckily it goes wide.
Paul Pogba(CM) – (8/10)(Manchester United): Scored the world-class goal and worked extremely hard in the midfield to help out in defence as well.
Edinson Cavani(CF) – (7/10)(Manchester United): Scored the equaliser like a proper centre forward but should have scored at least another one.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka(RB) – (5.5/10)(Manchester United): Could not keep the offside line and went deep for the Fulham goal and overall he didn’t look good made quite a few mistakes. But in the second half, he was much better.
Fulham’s next game is against Burnley in F.A Cup fourth round on 24th January and they’ll play away to Brighton & Hove Albion in Premier League on 27th January.
Manchester United will face Liverpool once again at Old Trafford in F.A Cup fourth round on Sunday and Sheffield United will be their next opponent in the league at home on 27th January.
