Getafe announces fifth signing- Sandro Ramirez

Getafe FC have officially confirmed the signing of Sandro Ramirez on a season-long loan deal this summer. Ramirez will be appearing for the fifth consecutive time in La Liga. While it is Getafe’s fifth signing this summer.

Ramirez is a La Masia talent and played with the Barcelona youth side until 2015. While he also got his first-team start in 2015 playing for the Catalans. A year later Malaga signed him, where he showed some promising talent.

Following his talent upfront, Everton signed him in 2017 at a transfer fee of €5.2 million. But the move to England failed miserably following which he spent the next three years on loan at three different clubs of La Liga.

In 2020 the player was available for a free transfer and signed for SD Huesca. The 26-year-old appeared 20 times while scoring 5 times for Huesca last season. But despite his best efforts, he couldn’t save the team from relegation.

Following which Huesca will be playing in Segunda Division for the next season. However, Sando Ramirez has dodged playing in Segunda as he will be joining Getafe on a season-long loan for the next season.

Getafe FC are looking to have a strong season after finishing 15th in the La Liga table last season. The club has already appointed Michel as their new manager replacing Pepe Bordalas. While the club has also made five signings so far this summer to improve their options in the next season. The latest signing out of those five is the centre-forward, Sandro Ramirez.

Getafe announced on Monday about agreeing on a deal with Huesca regarding Ramirez. The centre-forward will be joining Getafe on a season-long loan for the next season. While the club has also the option to buy Ramirez after his loan spell ends next summer.

Ramirez will be reuniting with his former manager Michel who coached him at Malaga during the 2016/17 season. The duo will be looking forward to a good start in the next season. While Ramirez will be wanting good support from his manager in order to get his form back in front of the goal. So, let’s wait and see what Ramirez has in his bag for his fifth consecutive season at La Liga.
