Stake Solbakken spoke about the injury while speaking to Dagsavisen. Firstly, he said that there is good progress in relation to pain and the injury. But later he added that Odegaard is long way away from playing the matches.
“I don’t think anyone knows that, and I don’t think he knows it himself either” – Solbakken about when Odegaard will return.
Looking at the comments from Norway boss, it seems like Odegaard may miss many more matches. But he has already started training and Gunners have posted about it.

Martin Odegaard also had his say about his recovery. Firstly he said that he has made really good progress in the last week or so. He added that he is getting better and better each day and it feels really well. He also said that he is motivated to do more and work harder.
Odegaard then said that international break will give him more time to work on himself. Later he said that it won’t be long and they will look at how his ankle responds when he is back on training pitch.
“At the moment it’s progressing well and it looks better than we were thinking, but we have still got to take every day as it comes” – Odegaard giving positive news to Gunners.
Odegaard may still miss two Arsenal matches after the international break. He might be sidelined for clashes against Bournemouth and Shakhtar Donetsk. But there is a hope that he can return against Liverpool who are sitting on the top of the Premier League table.
